I studied at Banbury School of Art in Oxfordshire obtaining a Foundation Degree in Art and Design in 2002. Prior to this I studied Art at A'level and both Art and Textile design at G.C.S.E standard.
In 2005 I moved to Southwold in Suffolk where I have become a member of the Southwold Art Circle. I have since been inspired by the Southwold coastline and produced some lovely seascapes. This new found inspiration along with the sale of some paintings helped encourage me to begin painting on a more regular basis. I have now produced, exhibited and sold a number of paintings and am feeling even more inspired than ever before.
I have a passion for painting and creating, receiving a vast amount of pleasure from the process involved which I feel is captured into each work of art. I believe art to be extremely therapeutic, both during the creating stage as well as afterwards when admiring the piece. A good painting should be made up of many hidden wonders of layered colour and brush marks, waiting to reveal something new each time it is appreciated.
I paint and create for my own self-fulfillment however have also found great joy working towards a directed style or design for commissioned pieces, having a natural eye for replicating.
